Stock GEM Car motors aren't designed to be used with radical controller programming or under extreme conditions. Stock Gem Car motors operate within a limited temperature range and any attempts to achieve consistent 35mph performance through gearing or excessive programming will result in heat related motor failure. In addition our high performance 7.5HP has a rated rpm of 4,950 and will hold up to 6,000 rpm while the stock GEM Car motor is only capable of 4,100 rpm.
